Programs

Gateway Early Learning Center programs are designed for Infant care, Pre-K, Kindergarten, childcare and more!

At Gateway Early Learning Center, we offer several programs to meet the specific needs of each of our students. By grouping students by age and development, we ensure that children are learning and interacting with their peers.

Our programs include group learning as well as individual attention so that students develop the social skills and confidence necessary to succeed.

Class Curriculum and Teachers

Gateway Early Learning Center

Gateway Early Learning Center has the right program for your child!

We strive to provide individualized service to our students and parents so that no child ever feels left out or falls behind. Our teachers focus on providing students with all of the skills they will need in the everyday world. Gateway Early Learning Center offers the HighScope curriculum.

“Beginning with the Perry Preschool Study, HighScope revolutionized early childhood education with a new approach to teaching and learning. Research based and child focused, the HighScope Curriculum uses a carefully designed process — called “active participatory learning” — to achieve powerful, positive outcomes.

As teachers, parents, and educational researchers have discovered, the HighScope Preschool Curriculum not only helps young children excel in language and cognitive learning but also promotes independence, curiosity, decision-making, cooperation, persistence, creativity, and problem solving — the fundamental skills that help determine success in adult life. This is what we mean by The HighScope Difference.”

We also keep parents up-to-date by regularly discussing their child’s progress.

To discover more about what students are up to, parents may simply click on their child’s classroom to find information about the curriculum and other activities planned for the current and upcoming weeks.

Our Programs

Infants –This program focuses on activities that help babies develop their bodies and minds. Because we understand that every baby is different, we do not enforce a center schedule. Each of our infants follows an individual schedule determined by their parents.

Toddlers – We nurture our toddlers’ development with activities that enhance their cognitive, language, motor, and social skills. We engage toddlers in daily whole group instruction as well as balanced time for play, nurturing, and learning.

Twos – Our twos program is designed to support and encourage the growing independence of two-year-olds. Our teachings help the students learn to share, get along with others, and perform tasks requiring greater attention span. Our lesson plans involve songs, stories, games, art projects, and more.

Gateway Early Learning Center–a great place to learn grow, and play!

Pre-School (K-3) – The preschool program utilizes thematic units to encourage students’ development of key skills and confidence. Each themed unit incorporates language, math, science, creative arts, music, motor skills, and social development. This program involves hands on activities and small group instruction.

Pre-K (K-4) – In the Pre-K program, our priority is to provide children with the skills necessary to excel in kindergarten and beyond. We strive to make learning fun so that students develop a positive attitude towards school. We also help children learn to read in a supportive environment to encourage a life-long love of books.

Before & After School Care – At Gateway, we offer before and after school programs for our students as well as programs for summer. These programs involve several projects, sometimes as small as putting on a play, and sometimes as great as volunteering in the community. We focus on enriching our students’ scholastic learning rather than replicating it.
